Women’s Health Pelvic Scan
Our Women’s Health Pelvic Scan offers a detailed examination to address any current or previous concerns. Many women opt for this scan to gain a comprehensive understanding of their pelvic health and well-being.
- If you feel you need more frequent scans, please consult your local clinic.
- This scan is not suitable for postmenopausal women.
- Please note, this scan does not include cancer screening. If you are already under the care of your local hospital, we recommend having all scans conducted by your healthcare provider.
- All scans are performed by a qualified diagnostic sonographer.
- These scans will be conducted transvaginally.
- Depending on the reason for your booking, you may be asked to schedule your appointment at a specific point in your menstrual cycle.
- This scan is available to women over 18 years old or to those aged 16 and 17 who are accompanied by a responsible adult.
- Please note, this is not a pregnancy scan. If you have a positive pregnancy test, you will be directed to book an early pregnancy scan.

Important Information
- Can I Bring People to My Scan?
Yes, this won’t be a problem. You can bring up to one additional adult guest to your scan. Some clinics may allow up to two adult guests, but please confirm this with your local clinic before your appointment. - Before Your Early Scan
If you are under 10 weeks, a trans-vaginal scan is medically recommended to provide more accurate diagnostic results. For trans-vaginal scans, a full bladder is not necessary. If you prefer an abdominal scan, please arrive with a full bladder for your appointment. - I Haven’t Seen My Midwife Yet
You can still come for a scan even if you haven’t had a midwife appointment. If you have seen your midwife or GP and have received any notes, please bring them with you to your appointment.
